Are you ready to walk through the streets of a once prosperous ancient city? The Carnegie Science Center is proud to present POMPEII: THE EXHIBITION opening for members on September 30. Designed as a multimedia immersive experience, POMPEII: THE EXHIBITION widens the lens on the ancient Roman city to examine the day-to-day activities of its citizens, the events leading up to its ruin, the fabled eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD, and the aftermath of the city’s total devastation. With over 150 artifacts, loaned from the Naples National Archaeological Museum, including armor, weapons, furniture, mosaics, and body casts, this special exhibition tells the unique and harrowing story of Pompeii in never-before-seen clarity and detail.
