Giving Societies

The Fellows

The Fellowswere established in 1968 by Carnegie Museum of Art Board member James L. Winokur, who, along with other Board members and friends, was eager to help the museum find sources for acquiring major works of art for its collection. Winokur’s legacy lives on through The Fellows Chair, Lynn Desmone, and over 100 members.

Support from The Fellows is a crucial part of the Carnegie Museum of Art’s exhibition program, allowing the museum to continue creating experiences for its thousands of annual visitors, whether in its galleries, online, or in the community.

Annual membership begins at $1,500 and offers a range of benefits. Members of The Fellows are also encouraged to join the Patrons Circle for an additional $1,895 per year, receiving additional benefits associated with all four Carnegie Museums.

The Carnegie Collective

The Carnegie Collective, established in 2022, comprises like-minded, creative individuals who share a passion for arts, culture, and community engagement. As a member, you will be part of a new generation of champions for Carnegie Museum of Art. Support from the Carnegie Collective ensures that we can continue to expand our Forum Series, in addition to our exhibition program, and continue to create experiences that connect people to art, ideas, and one another

Co-chaired by Curator Lexi Bishop, Executive Director of Associated Artists of Pittsburgh Madeline Gent, and Vice President of Risk Management at Tristate Capital Bank, Courtney Moran, the Carnegie Collective provides a distinct opportunity for young professionals to engage with the museum by joining an inspired group of art patrons, supporters, and advocates.
