Members will have the ability to download their digital membership card onto their smartphone, and can visit their museums by simply presenting their digital membership card, a valid photo ID*, or by offering their name or email at the admissions desk.* Have questions? How to Download Your Digital Membership
Install on iPhone device:
iPhones have a native app called Apple Wallet that is easy to use, reliable, secure, and already pre-installed on most iPhone devices:
- Click the “Download Membership Card” button in the email you received on your iPhone, then “Add to Wallet,” then “Add.” Your digital membership card will automatically download to the Apple Wallet app.
- To access the digital wallet, swipe down on your home screen to activate the Search function. Type “Wallet” into the search bar. Then, tap the Wallet icon that appears under the “Applications” header. From there, you will be able to access your digital card!
Install on Android device:
Google Wallet is a native OS app that is easy to use, reliable, secure, and already pre-installed on most Android devices: · Make sure the Google Wallet app is installed. If not, you may download it from here.
- Click the “Download Membership Card” button in the email you received on your phone, then “Add to Google Wallet”. A preview will appear. Click “Save to Google Wallet”.
- In some cases, Google Wallet might ask you to log in so you can save it to an account. Please log in to continue (no credit card information should be required).
The card will be saved to Google Wallet, and you will be able to access it from the Google Wallet app at any moment!

Digital Membership Card FAQ
What is a Carnegie Museums digital membership card? Is it the same as an app?
Digital membership cards are an eco-friendly alternative to mailed plastic cards. Your Carnegie Museums digital membership card is an app that can be accessed directly from your smartphone.
I have not received my digital membership card
Please complete this survey, and we will send your Carnegie Museums digital membership card to the email address associated with your membership.
I downloaded my card but can’t find it.
If you have an iPhone, the card will automatically download to Apple Wallet. Check the app for your new card (scroll through any cards that are already there–it may be hiding!). If you have an Android, you’ll need to download Wallet Passes from the Play Store prior to downloading the card.
My family member is also on my membership account. How can they receive the card?
iPhone/iOS- Navigate to the back of the card (tap on the “…” button on the front), then tap on the share icon at the top right to send the card to your secondary member.
Android- Navigate to the back of the card (tap on the small “i” on the front) and use the “Share Pass” button to send the card to your secondary member.
I still have a physical card that has not expired. Can I use it?
Members can present their current physical membership cards at visitor services until the expiration date on the card. Members will then have the option to check in at visitor services with their digital card, name, or phone number.* Patrons Circle members will continue to receive physical cards in the mail.
How do I access the back of my digital card?
iOS/iPhone
1. Open your Carnegie Museums digital membership card in your Apple Wallet.
2. Tap on the three dots at the top right of the card. If you don’t see the dots, make sure you are not accessing the card from your lock screen.
Android
1. Open your Carnegie Museums digital membership card in Google Wallet.
2. Tap on the “i” icon at the bottom right of the card.
How will my reciprocal benefits work when visiting other museums?
Digital cards for all member levels display the ASTC, while Dual-level and above also display the ROAM program logos, providing links to up-to-date lists of participating organizations in the programs. Simply show your digital card and a valid photo ID at the admissions desk (we advise you to call the participating museum you plan to visit ahead of time).
If I download my digital card, do I still need an admission ticket to visit Carnegie Museums of Art & Natural History, Kamin Science Center, or The Andy Warhol Museum?
All visits to any of the four Carnegie Museums require a ticket for admission. Though advance tickets are not required, we recommend members reserve their free member tickets in advance for quicker check-in.
I don’t want a Carnegie Museums digital membership card. What should I do?
If you don’t wish to download the card, simply disregard the message, and you won’t be offered this feature until you renew your membership. Members can visit the museums by simply presenting their digital membership card, a valid photo ID*, or by offering their name or email at the admissions desk.*
Patrons Circle members will continue to receive physical cards in the mail. If you are a Patrons Circle member and have a question, please call us at 412.622.5772.

Can I receive a printed plastic card instead of a digital membership card?
Physical plastic cards are available only to Patrons Circle members. Digital cards can be accessed on your smartphone or printed from your home printer. We appreciate your understanding as we continue to improve your experience in our museum and deepen our commitment to reducing our environmental impact.

Members will have the option to check in at the admissions desk with a valid photo ID* or by offering their name or email at the admissions desk.* If you wish to reserve tickets in advance, please contact us.
