Did ancient Egyptians host family game nights? In King Tutankhamun’s tomb, archaeologists found several game boards of Senet, a popular two-player game enjoyed by peasants and pharaohs alike.

Norway is consistently ranked among the happiest countries in the world, despite going through long, dark winters. It may have something to do with the Norwegian concept of koselig (pronounced koosh-lee), in which people focus on getting cozy indoors with warm beverages, crackling fires, special lighting, and candles.

Heiress and philanthropist Sarah Mellon Scaife loved penguins so much, she named her 923-acre estate in Westmoreland County “Penguin Court,” and at one point had 10 African penguins roaming the grounds.

The NFL Draft is coming to Pittsburgh in April 2026, and local organizers took inspiration from native son Andy Warholwhen creating the event’s branding. “The textures, the layered composition, even the text blocking—these elements pay quiet homage to Warhol’s Pop art legacy,” said Patrick Fisher, CEO of the Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council, at the public unveiling of the visual identity for the 2026 NFL Draft.
