Membership donations

As a proud member of Pittsburgh’s generous nonprofit community, Carnegie Museums is pleased to support other local nonprofits in their fundraising efforts with complimentary Family-level membership donations.

While we aim to fulfill as many requests as possible, due to a large number of requests, we must limit the number of our annual donations. If we are unable to help you with your fundraising efforts, we encourage you to contact each of the four Carnegie museums directly to inquire about ticket donations.

Due to the overwhelming volume of requests received by Carnegie Museums, notice will only be sent to approved applicants.

Requirements for Donations

Before completing the donation request form, please review the requirements and guidelines below to confirm your organization’s event eligibility.

  • The organization must be a 501(c)(3) charity and a community-serving organization or a local cultural arts organization. Proof is required. Examples include a 501(c)(3) determination letter, a copy of the nonprofit EIN, or a nonprofit tax ID#.
  • Carnegie Museums cannot support fundraisers for schools or universities, social or extracurricular activities, private individuals or families, performance groups, or athletic teams.
  • Request must be submitted at least six (6) weeks prior to the event date to allow sufficient time for processing.
  • Organizations are eligible to receive no more than one (1) donation per calendar year.
  • Donations are made solely at the discretion of Carnegie Museums.

Application Process
To request a donation, you must submit your request through our online system. Submissions by mail or phone will not be accepted. Please be sure to:

  • Provide the name, date, 501(c)(3) Tax ID number, and a brief description of the event
  • Include the name, phone number, and email address for one designated contact person

All requests are processed within four (4) weeks. Please do not call or email; you will be notified if your request is fulfilled.

Application Deadline
To allow sufficient time for proll donation requests, they must be submitted at least six (6) weeks before the event date.
