Built to house the considerable modern collection of art dealer Ernst Beyeler, the impressive, single-level structure was designed by renowned architect Renzo Piano and allows visitors to explore the collection without the need to climb a single stair.

The headquarters for the week will be the five-star Widder Hotel Zurich located in the heart of the picturesque Old City. A supremely stylish hotel, the Widder is a pleasing fusion of modernity and traditional charm. Rooms and public areas across the eight individually-decorated town houses are tastefully adorned with painted ceiling beams, ornate stone intarsia, and antique furniture alongside modern design classics from the likes of Le Corbusier and Mies van der Rohe. The hotel’s private collection is displayed throughout the house and features works from Andy Warhol, Robert Rauschenberg, and Alberto Giacometti.

Travelers will enjoy a private view of Kunsthalle Zurich, including the Manifesta 11 Biennial, with its director, Daniel Baumann. Then they’ll take a day trip to the medieval town of Winterthur, a popular art destination and ancestral home of the du Pont family and fortune, from which their prominent Delaware home gets its namesake.
