Powdermill Nature Reserve Saturday, June 7

Bring the family and spend the day at the Museum of Natural History’s biological research station. Spend the day hiking, taking a walking tour, seeing demonstrations of research projects such as bird banding and the use of radio tracking of animals. Lunch and maps of the reserve are included.

New Zealand/Australia November 9–22

Seddon Bennington, director of the Carnegie Science Center and a native of New Zealand, will lead this trip to New Zealand and Australia, where you’ll tour museums under the guidance of directors and senior curators, and meet experts on the architecture and history of the host cities. Emphasis will be placed on science, art, historic sites and picturesque areas, with highlights including the Maori Cultural Center, Canterbury Museum, the Great Barrier Reef and a musical evening at the Sydney Opera House.

New York City Weekend November 7–9

The annual three-day trip to New York City will be filled with visits to cultural centers, Broadway shows, historic sites, elegant restaurants, and other events
