Come aboard to learn how 80 men used their expertise, humor and sheer ingenuity to carve out a rough and adventurous life during Requin’s lengthy defense and scientific missions, some of which are still classified to this day! State-of-the-art and battle ready when she set out just days before the end of World War II, USS Requin holds the distinction of being the Navy’s first Radar Picket submarine.

Go beneath the surface of submarine life with Living History aboard USS Requin. Carnegie Science Center has partnered with Carnegie Mellon University’s Entertainment Technology Center (ETC) to add high-tech interactive experiences to the historic submarine. It’s the first-ever use of interactive technology such as this aboard a historic ship.

The USS Requin submarine is open daily from 12-5 pm.
